How Do I Start a Chapter?

Overview and Breakdown of Chapter Initiative Pipeline

The very first step in getting an EWB Chapter started is to fill out a Start a Chapter Form. You will be prompted to book a time for an introductory call with the Community Team, where we will determine how prepared you are for taking the next steps on your campus.

Generally, the Chapter development process looks like this:

INITIAL ASSESSMENT
  • Context Assessment - to gain an understanding of the context in which the potential chapter would operate

  • Leadership Assessment - to learn more about the potential leaders of the chapter and their skills, knowledge and motivation

EVALUATION
  • Demonstration of ongoing national and regional participation

  • Minimum 1 year of operation

  • Demonstrated sustainable leadership and chapter operations

  • Consistent impact reporting and fundraising

  • Growth of chapter membership
